In Loving Memory (2024) follows the life of Chapel-Hill based Japanese artist Chieko Murasugi and explores how her artistic style and philosophy is inspired by the survival of her parents during the bombings of Tokyo in World War II. Chieko rediscovers her mother's love for colors and patterns, and incorporates these elements in her painting series "In Loving Memory," which commemorates the passing of her mother two years ago.
