In Clothes We Remember (2024) captures the tactility of fabrics in Chapel-Hill based Taiwanese artist Jan-Ru Wan's installation works. Recycling discarded materials and clothings from industrial factories and thrift stores, Wan reconfigures found objects into "body sculptures." Projected on layers of Wan's garments, the experimental documentary creates a story-world that echoes Wan's notion of the body projection, the time-consuming nature of textile work, and organic texture of the clothes that accompany us everyday.
